The United States Harness Writers Association’s annual Dan Patch Awards banquet, presented by Caesars Entertainment, is set for Sunday, Feb. 23 at Rosen Centre in Orlando, Florida and the deadline to make hotel room reservations is this Friday, Jan. 31.

The Dan Patch Awards banquet annually honours the best and brightest performers, both human and equine, of the previous season. The award winners are selected by the United States Harness Writers Association (USHWA), with all winners already having been announced except for U.S. Pacer of the Year, Trotter of the Year and Horse of the Year, which will be revealed the night of the banquet. USHWA will hold its annual director’s meeting on Saturday, Feb. 22 and its general membership meeting the morning of the banquet.

Tickets for the Dan Patch Awards banquet are $200 USD. There is also a reduced-priced menu option for children 12 and under. Dinner tickets can be ordered until Feb. 17 by contacting Judy Davis-Wilson at [email protected] or 302-359-3630. Click here for the banquet tickets reservation form.

Hotel room reservations can be made by using the USHWA's dedicated link to the hotel’s reservations page by clicking here. All standard rooms under the USHWA block are $209 USD nightly (plus applicable taxes). After the Jan. 31 deadline, attendees must contact the Rosen Centre reservations department directly at 800-204-7234 or 407-996-9842 and ask for the Dan Patch Awards/USHWA rate.

While rooms may later become available, Friday night, Feb. 21 is currently sold out at Rosen Centre. Guests will be able to receive the same USHWA rate at Rosen Shingle Creek but must move to Rosen Centre on Saturday, Feb. 22. Guests must call Rosen Shingle Creek directly at 866-996-6338 or 407-996-6338 and ask for the Dan Patch overflow block.
