Woodbine Entertainment is now accepting entries to purchase a slot in the 2026 Mohawk Million (Grade 1) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
The Mohawk Million for two-year-old trotters is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26 at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
A previously reported, the price to a purchase a slot in this year’s Mohawk Million has been increased from $50,000 to $60,000. A total of 10 slots (each priced at $60,000) are available once again. The deadline to submit a slot purchase contract for the Mohawk Million is Tuesday, Feb. 17. The contract must be accompanied by $30,000.
Should more than 10 parties submit to purchase a slot, a draw will be held to determine the 10 slot owners. Those selected in the draw will then have until June 1 to submit the remaining $30,000 of the slot fee.
Each slot is an entity that may be sold, traded or leased. Slot owners must declare a horse to race in their slot by Monday, Sept. 21 at 12 noon.
The conditions for the Mohawk Million will again limit an owner and/or trainer to declaring a maximum of three horses to the event.
