On Monday, January 21, the Ontario Racing Commission released its rulings into appeals by horsemen Nick Boyd, Mike Lamoureux, Doug McIntosh and Jack Wray.

In regard to Boyd, who was recently injured in an on-track racing accident, an ORC hearing into his appeal of a $500 fine and a 15-day driving suspension was adjourned. The ORC ruled that the hearing will take place on a date to be determined by the ORC. To view the official ORC ruling, click here.

In regard to Lamoureux, who was set to appeal a $1,000 fine and 15-day full suspension, the ORC accepted Lamoureux's request to drop his appeal. The ORC panel accepted the withdrawal and revived the original fine and suspension, less time served. To view the official ORC ruling, click here.

In regard to McIntosh, who was appealing the placing of one of his horses in a Western Fair race in November, 2012, the ORC denied the appeal and ruled that the placing will stand. To view the official ORC ruling, click here.

In regard to Wray, he was appealing a $500 fine for 'misconduct prejudicial to the best interest of racing' which was handed down this past fall. The ORC denied the appeal. To view the official ORC ruling, click here.
