On the heels of an immense interest in Pompano Park's Super Hi-5 finale on Tuesday night (Jan. 19), director of racing Gabe Prewitt has announced that the Wednesday (Jan. 20) Pick-5 event will have a guaranteed pool of $125,000.
In making the announcement, Prewitt remarked, "This is just another way of expressing our appreciation to our loyal fans across North America by giving them opportunities like this.
"Last night, we had well over 200 winning tickets on our Super Hi-5 finale with its mandatory payout with each 20-cent ticket worth $2,003 and change. This is just another way of saying 'thanks' to our fan base."
The Pick-5 begins in the first race with post time set for 7:20 p.m.
