Yonkers Raceway’s 2019 racing season begins this Monday night (Jan. 7), with a dozen races at the usual first post of 6:50 p.m.
The Raceway’s 234-program docket offers a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday schedule (nearly exclusively at 6:50 p.m.). All dates are pending approval of the New York State Gaming Commission.
Horsepeople are reminded that the next two days have morning draws, with the Jan. 8 races drawn on Thursday (Jan. 3) and the Jan. 10 races drawn on Friday (Jan. 4). The entry box closes each day at 9 a.m.. The usual afternoon box closing and draw schedule returns Monday (Jan. 7), with a double draw for Jan. 11 and 12.
