Trot Insider has learned that Ontario Standardbred breeder/owner Frank Robert Wilson Lipsett of Silcote passed away peacefully at Central Place Retirement Home in Owen Sound on the morning of Friday, January 15 at the age of 97.
Frank was the dearly loved husband of the late Muriel Lipsett (nee MacRae) for 73 years.
Loving father of Ron Lipsett and his wife, Louise, of Silcote and Carol Lipsett, of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Proud grandfather of Julie Lipsett (Richard Suchow), Rob Lipsett (Lauren), Carolyn Kirby (James) and great-grandfather of Chris, Jaden, John, Sophie, Jessie and Katelyn.
Predeceased by his parents, Jesse and Gertrude Lipsett and his sisters, Edith (Gordon) McPhatter and Elsie Lipsett.
A funeral service for Frank took place on Monday (January 18) at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home in Owen Sound. Visitation took place at the funeral on Sunday (January 17). Interment in Meaford.
