Officials with Red Shores have announced that the card of live racing that was scheduled for Saturday, January 17 at the Charlottetown Driving Park has been moved to Sunday, January 18.
Officials with Red Shores announced via release that the program has been pushed to Sunday due to extreme cold weather conditions in the forecast for Saturday.
The 15-dash race program will get underway with a 12:30 p.m. first-race post time
Forever Paradise, who finished second to Mach It Big last week, has been established as the morning line favourite by race secretary Gerard Smith in the featured event Sunday at the CDP.
Trainer Kevin MacLean has secured the services of Marc Campbell to drive the Reg MacPherson-owned Forever Paradise from Post 2.
The roster also includes Cheyenne Ford (to be driven by Kenny Arsenault), The Big Bite (Corey MacPherson), Machinthesand (Ken Murphy), Cambest Kisser (J. Hughes), Pictonian Storm (Wade Sorrie), Perfect Escape (Ron Matheson), McJestic (Gary Chappell) and Veronicavermillion (Brian MacPhee).
Trotter Frill Seeker is back to defend his winning streak. Kenny Arsenault, who enjoyed a big day at the office last week, will drive the son of Angus Hall-Yankee Frilly from Post 7. Trainer Ron Gass will be applying pressure with his trainees Caliban Hanover (Gass) and Pleasure Girls (MacPherson). The other contenders are Money Show, I Aint No Lady, JK Queen and JK Hustler from the Joe Smallwood stable in Stratford.
Red Shores is pleased to offer the Fan Choice Awards to customers over the next few weeks. The ballot is located in the race program with categories including top driver, trainer, aged trotter and more.
