Just a reminder to send in your video messages for O’Brien Award finalists. The deadline for submissions is Friday, Jan. 14.
Standardbred Canada (SC) encourages family members, friends and colleagues of 2021 O'Brien Award finalists to send in a short video message to congratulate a finalist and wish them good luck. The Video Greetings Reel has been graciously sponsored for the second consecutive year by The Hambletonian Society.
Here’s how to record your video greeting:
• Record the video horizontally on your Smartphone or iPad.
• Make sure you have a quiet spot to record your video with proper lighting and no background noise.
• Please keep the videos to 30 seconds maximum.
• Play your video before you send it to make sure it sounds and looks OK.
• Optional – dress up in this year’s O’Brien theme – The Roarin 20s.
Here’s how to submit your video greeting:
• Send in a direct Facebook Message to the Standardbred Canada page or
• Send via email to [email protected]
If the file is too large to email, you can send it through a large file sharing service like WeTransfer.
The 2021 Virtual O'Brien Awards Gala will take place on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022 and will be video streamed on standardbredcanada.ca from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (EST).
SC will assemble this collection of recorded messages in a montage that will be shown on standardbredcanada.ca a few days in advance of the awards and play prior to the live show on Sunday, Feb. 6.
