Exotic wagers were tough to take down on Sunday, Jan. 12, at MGM Northfield Park, resulting in substantial carryovers for both the Pick-5 and Pick-6 that will carry over to Tuesday, Jan. 14.
The Pick-5, starting in race six on Tuesday, Jan. 14, will feature a large carryover of $8,172. This wager has a $1 minimum base and a low 14 per cent takeout, offering a great opportunity for bettors.
The sequence proved challenging for gamblers on Sunday, as Uncle Jord A ($41), Smoking Jet ($20.60), and Joyful Jenny ($13.20) all pulled off upsets.
It all came down to the final leg, where Beachchip Hanover (Aaron Merriman) and The Fear Is Real (Justin Irvine) both paid out the entire pool. However, neither could hold off Old Town Road (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.), who crossed the wire first, securing the victory and setting up a sizable carryover for fans to chase on Tuesday.
The 50-cent Pick-6, also sporting a low 14 per cent takeout, begins in race eight and has a $2,399 carryover awaiting fans.
