Longtime harness racing industry participant Clément Nadeau of Plessisville, Que. passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025 at the Hôtel-Dieu d'Arthabaska, just shy of his 99th birthday.
The husband of Mrs. Pierrette Pratte and first wife of the late Noëlla Rivard, Mr. Nadeau is survived by his children: Raymond (Henriette Desrosiers), Jacques (Claire Dufresne), Serge (Hélène Caron), André and the late Gilles; his wife's children: Sylvie Ménard (Michel Carrière) and Alain Ménard (France Gauthier); his 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was the brother of: the late Maurice (the late Lorraine Rivard), Béatrice (the late Armand Lecours), the late Florence (the late Aimé Pellerin), Lucille (the late Claude Houle), Gustave (the late Jeanne Daigle), the late Laurette (Marc Normand), the late Yolande (the late Camille Carignan).
From the Pratte family, he was the brother-in-law of: the late Victoria (the late Gilles Racicot), the late Victor (Liette Roussin), the late Fridolin (Denise Dépôt), the late Lucien, the late Réjean (the late Jeanne-Mance Robichaud), the late Denise (the late Yvon Beauchemin).
From the Rivard family, he was the brother-in-law of: the late Fernand (the late Aline Gagnon), the late Yolande (the late Roméo Morin), the late Benoît (the late Jacqueline Nadeau), Roméa (the late Paul Rocheleau) and the late Dolorès.
He is also survived by his nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Saturday, Mar. 15, 2025, the day of the ceremony, starting at 1 p.m., at the François-Marie Rousseau Funeral Complex, 2500, rue St-Calixte in Plessisville.
A ceremony in his memory will be held that same Saturday, at 3 p.m., in the memorial room of the funeral complex.
