Officials with The Raceway at Western Fair District have announced that the track has been forced to cancel its scheduled live card of racing for today (Tuesday, January 10).
As a special winter advisory continues for southwestern Ontario, The Raceway at Western Fair District has been forced to cancel Tuesday night’s race program.
After a significant snowfall overnight and throughout the morning, the forecast for the remainder of the day calls for snow to turn to freezing rain and then rain. High winds of 90kph are expected as well with the next system.
In consideration of travel conditions to and from the track, as well as the impact of rain and warming temperatures on the track itself, officials decided to cancel for the safety of all participants.
Live racing is scheduled for tomorrow night (Wednesday, January 11) at The Raceway at Western Fair District with first post set for 6:15 p.m.
