Racing fans will have a chance to get their Sunday night started in a big way at Hawthorne Race Course with a big $30,000 Guaranteed Superfecta pool.
The final Superfecta on the Saturday card went unclaimed so a carryover of $7,282 will be added to tonight’s opener giving fans a chance to establish a big bankroll to play the 13-race program with.
After a relatively formful night on Saturday the tote board was forced to work overtime on the final few races of the night as 32-1 outsider Fox Valley Cupid and 29-1 longshot Dontdoubthelakers combined to produce one of the largest Late Daily Double payoffs of all time as fans toted home $3,185 on the outside-inside 10-1 combination. The Late Pick 4 also produced a whopping return of $11,621 thanks to the two longshots closing out the night.
Sunday’s 20 Cent Jackpot Hi-Five on race 13 will also have a carryover of nearly $13,000 giving fans a good reason to come early and stay late!
