Internet shopping has recently become very popular. It's a handy, quick and usually fairly reliable way to purchase goods. Another distinct advantage is that shipping to your home is part of the transaction and that's pretty handy. Years ago people did a lot of mail order shopping, certainly for Canadians the old reliable Eaton's catalogue was a staple for many years as well as Sears. Horse people often sent away for their supplies and as this old ad shows you could easily order a pair of much needed shoes. And the shipping charge was just fifty cents!!
