Driver Bruce Richardson and trainer Dan Creighton put on a clinic at Clinton Raceway earlier this afternoon thanks to five and three-win performances, respectively.
Richardson achieved three of his five victories with students from the stable of trainer Dan Creighton. They joined forces to win with Shoot Out (2:00.4), Bullys Joni (2:02.4) and Lou Ann (2:00.1).
The green and gold-clad reinsman also clicked with In The Raw (1:59.1), a son of Intrepid Seelster trained by Ray Bunn, and Imposter (2:01), an Intrepid Seelster mare from the barn of trainer Esben Andersen.
Richardson, who finished the day with 192 wins on the season and purse earnings in excess of $1.3 for the year, is on pace to break the personal records he set in both of those categories last season.
He reined in 239 winners for purse earnings of just over $1.7 million in 2007.
Creighton bumped his yearly win total to 39 while pushing his bankroll to $416,261 in the process. He has trained the winners of 488 races in his career while banking in excess of $5.1 million along the way.
