Steacy And Lachance Tie In Coville Cup

On Sunday, August 17 at Rideau Carleton Raceway, Shawn Steacy pulled a remarkable upset to tie Jonathan Lachance for the Coville Cup.

Steacy was 47 points behind Lachance going into the fifth and final Coville Cup Drivers Challenge race when he pulled off a win with pacer Len Drummond.

In one of the largest crowds in years at Rideau Carleton Raceway, the Night of Champions, organized by the NCRHHA in association with Rideau Carleton, was a huge success.

Proceeds from the evening are still coming in with the expected total to be over $5,000. A big thank you goes out to Percy Elkins of KML Food and Confectionary for his generous donation of $2,000, as well as all the other Coville Cup Driver Challenge sponsors. All proceeds from the evening are being donated to the Shepherds of Good Hope.
