Trainer Joe Seekman has gone on the record stating that after the Little Brown Jug, Art Official will be entered to contest the Bluegrass Stakes at the Red Mile and that any reports to the contrary are not correct.
Seekman spoke with harnessracing.com this morning, clarifying the situation after a conflicting report had stated otherwise.
"We're racing in the Bluegrass, but then we have to decide if we want to supplement to the Tattersalls (on October 4)," said Seekman. "We want to race in the Windy City at Maywood the following weekend, so we're just undecided if we want to supplement him and then race him so many weeks in a row."
Seekman's confirmation that Art Official is going to race in Lexington keeps the possibility alive of a highly-anticipated rematch between Somebeachsomewhere and the Art Major colt over the speedy Red Mile oval.
