Schmokin Shannon A and driver Mike Hennessey lead the field through panels of :27.2, :57 and 1:25.1 without facing any challengers. With a :29.1 final quarter, the Alivia Gogush pupil reached the wire in a career best time of 1:55.
Joe Millionare (Dustin Poloway) finished over a length back in second and Jojo In A Jiffy (Billy Davis, Jr.) came on for third.
The nine-year-old Albert Albert gelding made his fifth visit of the season to the winner's circle. His yearly earnings total $24,350 for the Verve Racing Stables of Calgary, Alta.
Top Prize also used front-end tactics to score in his division.
The son of Ever So Rich and trainer/driver Scott Knight powered off the gate and posted panels of :27.4, :57.3 and 1:26.1 before holding off the pocket-sitter, Law Of The Yukon (Billy Davis, Jr.), by half a length for the win in 1:56.4. Red Star Governor (Jim Marino) finished third.
The eight-year-old gelding picked up his fifth win of the year and increased his seasonal earnings to $18,280 for owner Richard Michael of Barstow, California.
