Ribbon-Cutting For WEG Paddock

On Thursday, October 9, the Woodbine Entertainment Group will be hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new $11.5 million standardbred paddock and retention barn at Woodbine Racetrack.

The new paddock has been built with 'green' concepts in mind. The Woodbine Entertainment Group has made headlines over the past couple of years with its commitment to green concepts within its facilities, and its efforts are to be officially recognized at tomorrow's ribbon cutting ceremony.

At the ceremony, Tom Seitz, director, Environmental Sustainability for JohnsonDiversey, will be presenting WEG with JohnsonDiversey's Sustainable Facility Care Award.

The ceremony is take place at 4:00 p.m., and Etobicoke North MPP Dr. Shafiq Qaadri, Ontario Racing Commission executive director John Blakney and WEG chairman and CEO David Willmot will all be in attendance.
