The Middlesex County Series wrapped up tonight at Western Fair Raceway with four repeat winners prevailing in their respective finals.

Corkemup extended his win streak to five in the $46,900 Trotting Series Final for colts and geldings.

With trainer Randy Fritz at the reins, the three-year-old gelded son of Wesgate Crown fronted the field through panels of :29.3, 1:02 and 1:31.4 en route to victory in 2:01.4 by over one length.

In The Proverbials (Bruce Richardson) was the runner-up and Kilmartin Brother (Brad Forward) was third.

Unraced at two, Corkemup improved his record to 6-3-1 in 10 starts and lifted his bankroll to $51,690 for owners Joey and James Ayotte of Grimsby, Ont.

Using the inside post position to her advantage for the second consecutive week, Miracle Jan dominated the $48,400 Trotting Series Final for fillies and mares.

Driven by Brad Forward, the three-year-old daughter of Yankee Paco inherited the lead as Puddled On Port (Mike Saftic) made an early miscue. Miracle Jan carved out fractions of :30.2, 1:02.1 and 1:32 and held off the odds-on favourite, Disappearing Act (Don McElroy), by a nose to win in 2:02.4. Jayportlookatme (Philip Belore) was third.

Mike Pennington trains the two-time winner, who has earned $35,142 for PBR Systems Group of Freelton, Ont.

Billiam rallied from off the pace to score his fourth consecutive win in the $54,100 Pacing Series Final for colts and geldings.

With Jack Moiseyev in the bike, the three-year-old Grinfromeartoear gelding got away fifth as Heart Racing (Mike Horner) lead the field past the first quarter pole in :28.1. Moiseyev tipped his charge out from fifth picking up cover in the form of Fredsabulldog (Terry Kerr) before the half in :58.3. Fredsabulldog pushed past the pacesetter at the third quarter mark in 1:28.1, but Billiam tipped off his cover and sprinted to the wire in 1:58.

Fredabulldog finished two lengths back in second and Follow You Home (Tony Kerwood) came on for third.

The eight-time winner has earned $56,530 in his career for trainer and owner Chad Milner.

In the $51,400 Pacing Series Final for fillies and mares, Dreamfair Shannie found herself in the winner's circle for the second straight week.

With Brad Forward picking up the drive, the Dreamfair Vogel miss left from Post 3 and set the tempo with fractions of :28, :58.4 and 1:29. The post time favourite held off a late rush from the pocket-sitter, Topofherclass (Dave Wall), to win by a quarter-length in 1:58.3. June The Third (Tony Kerwood) finished third.

The Marvin Waite trainee took her fifth win in 10 starts this year. She has earned $54,380 for owners John and Mary Lamers of Ingersoll, Ont.
