Yesterday in Pennsylvania, the state Gaming Control Board denied Centaur LLC's request for a temporary, Conditional Category 1 slots gaming license for the proposed Valley View Downs racetrack prior to the completion of its background investigation and suitability hearing.
The Board's unanimous decision does not deny the application for a slots gaming license in the future.
"Valley View Downs' application review and investigation is not to the point where the Board felt it had all the necessary background information required within Pennsylvania's strict regulatory environment to issue a conditional license at this time," said Board ahairman Mary DiGiacomo Colins. "At the same time, it is important to note that today's decision does not impact any future decision by this Board on Valley View's application for a slot operator's license."
