Nasty Spill At Fraser Downs

The ninth race at Fraser Downs on Thursday evening was marred by a scary spill that involved a number of pacers and drivers.

As the field toured across the backstretch for the final time, Eatons Valhalla (Dave Hudon), who was situated in the two-hole, made a standstill break which set off a chain reaction of interference to trailing horses and drivers.

Town Centre (Tim Brown), who was trapped on the rail behind Eatons Valhalla, ran into that one's back and Town Centre (Rod Therres), who was behind Jennys Place at the time, caught that one's wheel and hurled driver Therres to the track.

Hudon booked off a scheduled drive in the last race, but early reports indicate none of the horses or drivers were seriously injured in the spill.
