The Mildred Williams International Driving Series Championship final highlights Dover Downs' Thursday, November 6 program.
The Mildred Williams dashes have been carded as Races 8 and 10 on the 15-dash card. First race post time is 4:30 p.m.
New for the 2008 edition of the Mildred Williams Series, the finals are raced in multiple legs. The first of the legs takes place today at Chester Downs. The second and third legs will both be contested tomorrow, as Freehold Raceway will host a leg in the afternoon before Dover gets underway with its program.
The top eight drivers from among 76 female drivers that competed at 32 North America racetracks vie for the championship.
The drivers scheduled to participate in Dover's pair of Mildred Williams dashes are Carole Dumont, Ann Karin Larsen, Kelly Case, Stacy Chiodo, Elisabeth Jansen, Tammy Mac Kay, Anne-Marie Turenne and Gro Formia.
Each track participating in the 2008 edition of the Mildred Williams Series held a fundraiser for a local breast cancer charity or another local charity chosen by the tracks. Together the tracks have raised almost $90,000 at their fundraisers.
