Kawartha Downs played hosted another successful installment of the Mildred Williams International Driving Series Saturday evening, and the Peterborough Examiner was there to cover the event in full.

The Peterborough Examiner article reveals that the late Mildred Williams' daughter, Heather, was in attendance Saturday; as was Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CEO Sharon Wood and fellow CBCF representative Valerie Hepburn.

"It [the Mildred Williams Series] has done so well because it has been embraced by the harness racing community," said series organizer and Cam Fella Award winner Ann Curran. "The people here at Kawartha Downs have been great. It's a great track and we like coming here. It was special having Heather Williams and Sharon Wood here, too."
