Fans who are unable to make it out to Mohawk Racetrack tonight will be able to enjoy national coverage of the $728,000 Maple Leaf Trot - Canada's premier event for older trotters - on a special edition of Race Night On The Score from 9:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. (E.D.T.)
Last year's third-place finisher in the Maple Leaf Trot, Corleone Kosmos, has been installed as the even-money choice from Post 3. He is one of two millionaires in the field, the other being his next-door neighbor on the starting gate Arch Madness (Post 4).
The hard-hitting Armbro Chronicle upset rivals in last weekend's eliminations and represents one of the best chances for a local interest. Another is Digital Image who has rebounded from sickness, which plagued him midway through the season. His driver, Trevor Ritchie, is going for his third straight Maple Leaf Trot title after having won in 2006 with Peaceful Way and last year with Equinox Bi.
Mohawk will also feature a powerful undercard on Saturday featuring a pair of $50,000 Milton Stakes eliminations, a $120,000 OSS Gold Final for three-year-old filly pacers, two OSS Gold eliminations for two-year-old colt pacers and a $47,000 Open Pace.
First post on Saturday night is 7:30 p.m. (E.D.T.)
