The annual marathon known as "Le 5 Milles" capped off Sunday's 10-race program at Sulky Quebec, and when the dust settled it was M G Éclair romping away to a 17-length victory in a time of 11:12 for driver Mario Charron.

The four-year-old son of Passailed, who hangs his harness bag in the barn of trainer Clayton Roderick Miller, knocked off 14 rivals to take home the lion's share of the $20,000 purse in the 10-lap affair.

The gelding, who is owned by 9176 3649 Quebec Inc. of Levis, QC, defeated Canaco Pistol and Fearless Finzareli to take home bragging rights in this year's edition of the race that keeps on going.
