Little Brown Jug Day Underway

A slew of stakes will be contested during this afternoon's Little Brown Jug card of racing at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Ohio, so stay tuned to SC's Jug News Centre for full coverage and up-to-the minute happenings.

In terms of the Jug itself, the first heat/first division has been carded as Race 9 with an estimated post time of 3:40 p.m. (ET). The first heat/second division is Race 10 (4:00 p.m.) and the second heat will be the card's 14th race (5:20 p.m.). If needed, a race-off to determine the winner of the Jug will be Race 16, with an estimated post time of 6:00 p.m.

In addition to the Jug, the $122,400 Old Oaken Bucket for three-year-old colt and gelding trotters has been carded as Race 3 (1:40 p.m.). After the Jug's first heat divisions are contested, the $16,000 Ms Versatility final for older trotting mares will be contested as Race 12 (4:40 p.m.).

A pair of $38,200 divisions of the Winbak Pace for aged colts and geldings has been carded as Races 7 (3:00 p.m.) and 13 (5:00 p.m.).

The afternoon card will also be peppered with a trio of Ohio Breeders Championships and four divisions of the Standardbred Stakes for two-year-olds.
