Backing driver Ken Oliver during the Saturday, October 11 card of racing at the Norfolk Fair in Simcoe, ON proved to be a good bet, as the 35-year-old resident of Hamilton won sixty per cent of the races on the program.
Oliver's six-win performance started in the opening dash, when he steered eight-year-old Run The Table gelding Odyssey Killean to a three-quarter-length victory in 2:02.3.
Oliver went on a tear through Races 4 through 6, as he nailed the wire first in each dash with Kiss Me Killean (2:04), Putnam President (2:02.4) and Odyssey Killean (2:02.3), respectively.
After finishing last in Races 7 and 8, Oliver finished off the card with a bang, capturing Race 9 with Kiss Me Killean by five lengths in 2:03.1 and snaring Race 10 with Putnam President by seven lengths in 2:03.1.
Top horses from the event will compete in an $8,000 Norfolk County Fair Final at Flamboro Downs on Thursday, October 23.
