Kawartha Downs has announced that it has had to cancel its signature race, The Anniversary Pace, which had been scheduled for Saturday, July 19.
Via a release, Kawartha said that it appreciates the support from many of its local horsepeople and its valued racing fans, but unfortunately it was unable to gain the necessary support from OHHA to run the event.
Kawartha said that Saturday night still promises to be an exciting evening of live racing, and the five-eighths mile oval is looking forward to seeing a healthy crowd on track.
