How Is Kathy stayed red-hot for trainer Joe Stutzman as she reeled off her fifth straight victory in the $11,000 sixth race at Mohawk Racetrack on Friday.

The six-year-old Keystone Raider mare began her win streak back on July 17 when she was in for a claiming tag of $10,000. Tonight, she competed in for a price of $20,000 and showed no mercy for driver Rick Zeron.

With Post 8, How Is Kathy shot to the front for Zeron and did all the roadwork in :26.4, :56 and 1:25. Her legs were getting weary in the final strides, but 'Kathy' had enough to hold on by a quarter-length in 1:53.1. Too Cool For U (Jody Jamieson) was second while Literacy (Sylvain Filion) finished third.

How Is Kathy is owned by Stephen Waldman, Anne Campbell and Michael Katz. The mare posted her tenth victory of the season from 24 starts and improved her bank account to $59,520. It was the 25th win of her career and boosted her earnings to $205,024.
