On Saturday night in St-Jean-Chrysostome, QC, fire destroyed the barn of horsepeople Elizabeth Carrier and Mario Viens, who unfortunately lost a great deal of their stock.
It has been reported that 50 firefighters fought the blaze for nearly nine hours, but it simply couldn't be stopped.
Only six of the 15 horses were able to be saved.
Cyberpresse.ca has reported that inspectors will be conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire, which was still unknown yesterday.
According to Viens, the barn and stables could cost $700,000 to rebuild.
Trot Insider has learned that some of the horses that passed include Duccari, Leocari, Carolina R M, Marcocari and Galacari.
