The Sunday afternoon card of racing at the St. Johns Racing & Entertainment Centre belonged to the tandem of Scott and Shane Forward, who joined forces to win four races on the nine-race program.
Scott did the training and Shane handled the driving on what turned out to be a solid day at the office.
They clicked with Jerry Mcguire (2:06) in the opener and returned to victory lane in Race 4 thanks to a narrow win with Date Maker (2:07.2).
We D Be Jazzin (2:03.2) completed the hat trick and Whitesand Dimples (2:01.3) added more icing to the cake thanks to her six-length score in Race 7.
Shane, who is in the midst of his third season of sulky sitting, is three wins away from 100 lifetime wins. Scott, who has been training since 1995, is just two wins away from 200 lifetime victories.
