Shadow Play's co-owning trainer Dr. Ian Moore has commented on Yonkers' $565,000 Messenger Stakes going straight to a final and the showdown his student will have with superstar Somebeachsomewhere.
With only six three-year-old male pacers entered to contest this year's edition of the historic stakes event, Atlantic Post Calls asked Dr. Moore how he felt about going straight to a final.
"That suits me fine," said Dr. Moore, who stated that it would give the Little Brown Jug winner more time to get over a hoof issue.
Shadow Play last raced in Maywood Park's $275,000 Windy City Pace, where he grinded first-over and earned a head victory in 1:50.4.
