Winbak Canada has announced that Dexter Nukes, winner of the 1989 Meadowlands Pace, passed away this morning. The 22-year-old No Nukes stallion was humanely euthanized after experiencing multiple infirmities associated with old age.

Dexter Nukes was trained by George Gilmour and owned by Thomas Dexter of New York. He was purchased by the late William Wellwood and Armstrong Bros, for a stallion prospect then later syndicated.
