Freshmen pacers will be out in full force this weekend at Mohawk Racetrack with four divisions of the Champlain Stakes set to go postward.

Friday night's card will feature a pair of $133,762 divisions for two-year-old filly pacers.

In the first division, Race 2 on the card, Shes A Great Lady runner-up Break The News will be vying for the winner's share of the rich purse for trainer and co-owner Carl Jamieson. Jody Jamieson is listed to drive the daughter of Western Ideal who leaves from Post 3 and is the 2-1 morning line favourite.

In the second division, the Jamiesons will send Bud Light winner Shes A Fan (PP2, 5-2) postward to battle against Eternal Camnation Stakes victors In The Game (PP5, Mark MacDonald, 4-1) and Terroronthebeach (PP3, Ron Pierce, 7-2).

Mohawk's stakes-packed card on Saturday night will feature two Champlain open divisions for rookie pacers worth over $160,000.

With Doug McNair at the reins, Battle of Waterloo winner Trail Boss (PP3, 7-1) will meet up with the fourth place finisher in the $1 million Metro Pace, Well Said (PP6, Ron Pierce, 5-2) and the Metro Consolation winner Straight Shooting (PP9, John Campbell, 3-1) in the first division.

In the second split, New Jersey Sire Stakes champ Allamerican Improv (PP7, 5-1) will attempt to extend his own win streak to four with Campbell in the bike and put an end to Carnivore's win streak, which includes a victory in last week's $300,000 Kentucky Sires Stakes Final. Pierce is listed to drive the Real Desire colt, leaving from Post 3 and favoured in the morning line at 5-2.
