On Friday, October 10 at Fraser Downs, members of the BC Standardbred Association presented five lucky recipients cheques for $5,000 each as part of the BCSA - Jim Keeling Jr. Memorial Scholarship.
The presentations were made by BCSA president Jim Vinnell and directors Barry Treen and Jim Marino.
The 2008 Scholarship recipients are Steffanie Godlien, Ryan Millitaire, Tess White, Ellen Gagnon and Jeanine Zahara.
To be eligible for the scholarship recipients are required to be furthering their education and be a family member of a registered horse person who is a member in good standing with the BCSA.
