Howmac Maximus and Damian MacLellan will try to take charge of the Tuesday evening featured event at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

The Prince County oval has a 14-dash presentation starting at 6 p.m., with the evening's top class scheduled as Race 13 with an estimated post time of 9:36 p.m. Summerside Raceway will celebrate National Caretaker Appreciation Day with prize draws and broadcast highlights to caretakers presented by Standardbred Canada, Red Shores, P.E.I. Harness Racing Industry Association and Prince County Horsemen’s Club.

The $3,600 top class has Howmac Maximus back in action after his triumph in the $10,000 P.E.I. Colt Stakes Graduate Series Gold final, presented by Kays Wholesale, on Aug. 31 at Red Shores Charlottetown. MacLellan will drive the son of Articulator from post four for trainer Tammy Collings and owner Brett MacDonald of Freelton, Ont.

Tony Too Tall has taken on the Invitational ranks this season and has post six in the Tuesday evening feature field for trainer Trevor Hicken and driver Myles Heffernan Sr.

Rockin In Heaven four-year-old Brookdale Johnny (Paul Langille), from the Phil Sizer barn, has post three after scoring four wins in his last six starts.

Also in the top event are Three Trick Gainer (David Dowling), Sauble Attack (Ken Murphy) and Woodmere Ideal Art (Jason Hughes).

The Backstretch Beat likes Howmac Maximus to win: “Howmac Maximus was an impressive front-end winner in the P.E.I. Colt Stakes Graduate Series final with a nice quarter leaving and a nice closing panel. Young MacLellan has been throwing up some solid numbers in the race bike this season and we think he can get the job done today in the Red Shores Summerside feature.”

Unbridled Fury will make her P.E.I., debut in race six for trainer/driver Dowling from post three. The $2,750 event has the three-year-old daughter of Fear The Dragon moving into the ownership of Ken Graham of Kensington, P.E.I., and Brittany Dowling of Springvale, P.E.I. She had been racing at Scioto Downs in Ohio.

The maiden class in race four has a pair of new Ontario pacers shipping in with post four starter Brookdale J Mac (Langille), who last raced at Georgian Downs, and post five starter Jack Tar Moxie (Norris Rogers), who made both his career starts at Kawartha Downs in Peterborough.
