North State Street Stable’s Monochromatic ($4.20, Jim Morand) registered her 52nd career win Tuesday evening in the $17,000 Mares Open at Harrington Raceway in 1:52.3.
The venerable Monochromatic, who has been a top mare on the Delaware circuit for several years, assumed command early for driver Jim Morand and after slicing out fractions of :27.3, :56.1 and 1:24.3 she used a :28-second closing panels to win by half a length over Springforth. Embassy Seelster was third.
Monochromatic, a nine-year-old daughter of Dream Away, boosted her lifetime bankroll to nearly $840,000 with the win. Trained by Dylan Davis, Monochromatic paid $4.20.
Montrell Teague held the hot hands during Tuesday’s card thanks to four driving wins. George Dennis and Allan Davis each had a double.
