Are you interested in learning how to read or better understand a horse’s pedigree? Would you like to learn how to evaluate a horse’s conformation?

If this sounds like you, or if you are new to the yearling sale experience, join the I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club’s Behind The Scenes Tour at Standardbred Canada’s Canadian Yearling Sale this Sunday, September 14. It takes place from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and then you can grab your seat for the auction which kicks off at noon. There are still a limited number of spots available.

Sunday, September 14 – The Sales Pavilion at Flamboro Downs
  • 9:30 a.m. -- Registration & Continental Breakfast

  • 10:00 a.m. -- Overview of The Sale Experience (with Heather Reid, Manager of SC Sales)

  • 10:15 – 10:45 a.m. -- Conformation Lesson & Inspection (with Brian Webster)

  • 10:45 – 11:30 a.m. -- Visit Consignors

  • 11:30 a.m. -- How To Read a Pedigree

  • Noon – 6 p.m. -- Observe Auction Sale

The Fan Club will be offering this sale day package for $10. This covers breakfast, an I Love Canadian Harness Racing souvenir and the morning workshops.
