According to a report by 580 CFRA News Talk Radio, city council will today be debating a motion to allow a new bingo parlour at Rideau Carleton Raceway
.
Proponents of the expansion have stated that over the first two years of its existence, the 579-seat complex will generate $1.2 million for up to 30 charities.
Ottawa city councillor Alex Cullen has stated that some other bingo halls in the area have raised concern over the possible expansion.
