Nordic Venture Takes Harrington Feature; Quillen Memorial Elims Drawn

Amy and Steward Oldford’s Nordic Venture scored his sixth win of the season Wednesday with a 1:57.2 win in the $20,000 Open Trot at Harrington Raceway

for driver Vince Copeland.

In eight career starts at Harrington, the five-year-old Keystone Nordic gelding has four wins and four seconds for trainer Copeland, who also handles the driving duties.

Nordic Venture was a wire-to-wire winner over Spunky Vic and King Gus. Driver Victor Kirby posted three winners on the program.

Elims Drawn For Bobby Quillen Memorial

A pair of $30,000 eliminations will be contested this Monday to decide the finalists for the 4th Annual Bobby Quillen Memorial for older pacers at Harrington Raceway. The draw was completed on Wednesday, and among the starters in the eliminations is the defending champion, Won the West.

Two $30,000 eliminations will be contested on Monday, September 13 with the top four finishers from each tilt returning for the $354,000 final on September 20.
