Magnetic Benka was a dominant winner of the feature race at Fredericton Raceway, and what made the win even more special was the fact it was his 62nd career victory

and fourth of the season.

Owned by Ray Fraser of Moncton, NB, the 10-year old son of Happy Family stopped the clock in 2:00 for driver Gilles Barrieau over a track listed two seconds off due to heavy rains earlier in the evening.

Magnetic Benka defeated Seven Signs and Man In Pink in the Williams Seafood Pace. His career earnings surpassed $110,000 with the win.

Barrieau picked up a driving double on the card, scoring earlier with Stefan and Colin DeCourcey's Milliondollarjewel in 2:04.2. Todd Trites also earned a driving double. He won with 10-year old veteran Robert R Robert in 2:01 and Allamerican Dazzle in 2:04.2.

FREX Week harness racing wraps up with back-to-back 10-dash cards on Saturday with post times at 1:00 and 6:00 p.m. The $7,500 Jenny and Joe Chippin Memorial has drawn a field of five including Roi De Coeur, Manraysonjo, Proven Lover, Outlawpositivcharg, and Formal Affair.
