Red Shores Summerside and the Prince County Horsemen’s Club have cancelled the card of harness racing slated for Monday, Sept. 7 out of an abundance of caution around air quality and deteriorating track conditions.
The card was scheduled to commence at 12:30 p.m. (ADT)
The decision was made after a fire at a nearby solar farm and a heavy rain system affecting P.E.I. since Friday.
