Divinne Magic celebrated a maiden-breaking triumph in the second division thanks to her rallying score at odds of 11-1.
Henry got away fourth with the Keith Jones trainee while Smashin Racquets blasted to the top and had the field chasing her past the quarter pole in :29. Race favourite Angeliki, who broke behind the gate, rushed to the lead in the backstretch and was on top while racing parked past the half in :59.3.
She was still in command at the three-quarter pole in 1:29.2, but she weakened late and that left the door wide-open for an upsetter. Dealin Fashion was third.
The daughter of Muscle Mass-Magic Meds now owns a 1-1-0 record from four starts for partners Maggie Jones, Susan Heard, Jody Simmons and Philip Newfeld. The lion’s share of the purse boosted her earnings to $18,110.
