Driver Nick Steward continued his dominance at the Leamington Raceway meet on Sunday, teaming with the Kyle Fellows stable to give his local leading win total another boost.
Steward won six of Leamington's 10 races while joining forces with Fellows for half of his Sunday successes.
Steward picked up his first win of the day in the second race with Aberarder Max ($11.60) for local trainer and owner Reginald Mulholland, setting a new track record for aged pacing horses of 1:57.2, before stringing together a four-race win streak mid-card.
His streak included wins by Fellows trainees Fleetwood Zena ($4.00) and Tigra Seelster ($5.40), as well as Artistic Jewel ($4.20) for Greg Merlo and Daniellas Shadow ($4.70) for Ronald and Cindy Molyneux. Daniellas Shadow matched Taylorlane Fancy's 1:57.3 track record for aged pacing mares.
Steward later won the ninth race with He Said ($4.80), giving Fellows a perfect three-for-three training record for the day.
