Swan In Motion ($7.20, Victor Kirby) registered his seventh win of the year for owner Howard Taylor on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at Harrington Raceway, taking the $30,405 Free-For-All Handicap Trot in 1:55.1.
Swan In Motion was the fastest when the gates folded and marched to the lead from post six before being challenged to the three-quarters by Sinatra De Vie. The two were heads apart at the top of the stretch before Swan In Motion pulled clear late. Sinatra De Vie held second while Speed Away made gains late for third.
A seven-year-old Swan For All stallion, Swan In Motion has earned $145,904 in seasonal earnings and his lifetime bankroll sits at $831,365. The win was Swan In Motion’s fifth win at Harrington this year, all in the Open ranks.
Longshot players had several lucrative opportunities as many horses with higher odds prevailed on the 15-race card, including Pretty Two ($149.40, Cody Poliseno), Now More Than Ever ($152.20, Art Stafford Jr.) and The Strawboss ($54, Pat Berry).
Stafford Jr. had four wins on the card. Ross Wolfenden had a driving triple.
Live harness racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule until Oct. 23. Post time 4:30 p.m.
