Flamboro Downs featured two divisions of freshman trotters in the fourth leg of the Prospect Series on Tuesday (Sept. 5) evening and Radical Legacy posted the faster of the two times in 1:58.2.
In the $8,800 division for fillies, Travis Cullen sent the Gregg McNair trainee out of post eight and to the top where they set the first panel in :28.4. The Blondy and Travis Henry pulled from the pocket and took over en route to the half in :59. The Blondy maintained the rail real estate as Radical Legacy came back out and took the lead through the three-quarters in 1:28.4. Radical Legacy kept on going to win by 2-3/4 lengths. Sandoon (Bruce Richardson) took second and The Blondy finished third.
Robert Holmes owns Radical Legacy (Muscle Mass-Radical Janey) as she won her second race in two starts. She paid $6.70 to win.
Expidition Pass went gate-to-wire to win the $8,700 division for the males.
Lormer McClure and his trainee won every fraction through panels in :30.2, 1:01 and 1:31.1. Livingitlarge (Lorne House) sought a challenge in the stretch, but Expidition Pass hung on to win by a head in 2:01.4. Dontalkaboutbruno (Brett MacDonald) rounded out the top three.
McClure owns the Alarm Detector colt as he won his second race in four starts. He paid $9.30 to win.
