Motorino, with trainer Terry 'Rubber Ducky' Gallant in the bike, won the Labour Day pace in 1:56.2 at Red Shores Summerside.

Leaving from post three, Motorino sat mid-pack in the race after Forever Paradise (Michael McGuigan) set fractions of :27.3, :57.2 and 1:26.3 before the pacesetter started to fade. Gallant put Motorino up the passing lane to win a head over Doing Some Damage (Brian MacPhee) while Forever Paradise completed the triactor.

Gallant co-owns Motorino with Eric Johnston, Summerside, PE.

Gary Chappell enjoyed a big day at the office. The veteran driver recorded a driving triple with victories aboard Mattadors Rose for trainer Jeff Lilley, Lucky Encounter from the Dale Sobey Stable and Bowyer Hanover for owner Ivan MacMillan, O’Leary, PE and trainer Walter Cheverie.

Norris Rogers, Jason Hughes and Marc Campbell had driving doubles on the day.
