Gagnon Wins Five At Rideau

Rideau Carleton Raceway presented a ten-race card to its fans Thursday evening, and Guy Gagnon put on a driving clinic.

The Gatineau, Quebec horseman kicked off the card with back-to-back wins thanks to solid performances from Cs Afternoondelite (2:00.4) and Chaleurs Fantasy (1:56.4). Gagnon returned to victory lane in Race 6 with Trophy Daughter (2:00.2) before coming right back with Shanghai B G (1:56) in Race 7. He capped off his big night at the office with a victory in Race 9 behind Come Monday (2:00.1).

Gagnon has driven at least 100 winners per season dating back to the 2000 season, and to date he’s been to the winner’s circle 4,345 times. The career winner of purse earnings in excess of $20 million has watched his UDR skyrocket to .393 this season in comparison to last year’s batting average of .270.
