Horse Racing New Brunswick will offer an outstanding 15-dash program this Saturday afternoon at Fredericton Raceway to close out Exhibition Week.

First-race post time is 2 p.m. The card will feature three major events. First will be the Bill Quigg Memorial stakes for three-year-old pacers. There are four separate divisions, all carrying purses of $6,850.

New Brunswick-stabled horses will be front and centre in the Quigg. In the three-year-old colt divisions, Settlement Request, Clipper Skip, Elm Grove Icecream, Cruise Level, and Tobins Fusion will all see action.

On the filly side, Absolootly Hot will start from Post 1 in her division of the Quigg and is coming into the event off a strong outing in the Maritimer in Saint John.

Two other features will also be included on Saturday. HRNB will honour the memory of longtime owner and Fredericton businessman Albert Goodine. The race will carry a purse of $2,500 and will feature a field of eight. Kass Hall is coming into the race off his overpowering win in the Milton Downey Memorial.

Five starters will compete in the $7,500 invitational pace, which has been named in honour of Jennie and Joe Chippin. D Gs Camme ships in from PEI and sports a 1:52.2 mile on his card at Red Shores this year. Gilles Barrieau will guide the pacer from Post 2.

Modern Xhibit is back in Fredericton after a strong outing and will start from Post 1. All Turain is also back for his first start in a number of weeks and will start from Post 3. New Brunswick-owned Joseph Michael has Post 4 while Schooner will start from the outside.
