Trainer-driver Danny Romo steered Susan Karrel's homebred pacer Dreams Matter to an upset victory in the $1,225 Winners Over Handicap Pace to conclude Sunday afternoon's harness racing program at Truro

Raceway.

Leaving from Post 4, Romo positioned the six-year-old son of Matter Of Money-Reason To Cheer in the pocket behind inside starter Rum Tuff Customer (Darren Crowe) with outsider Roi De Coeur Bg (Robert Laffin), a head winner over Dreams Matters in the class on Sept. 1, parked out in second.

Ruff Tuff Customer cruised past opening stations of :27.4 and :57 while extending his lead to over four lengths. With Roi De Coeur Bg fading on the outside, Dreams Matter pulled the pocket and collared the pacesetter at three-quarters in 1:26.4.

The 8-1 shot pressed on and opened up a two length lead in the stretch before hitting the wire in 1:56.3. Ruff Tuff Customer settled for second while Access Key (Emmons Ralph MacKay) rounded out the top three finishers.

Dreams Matter paid $18.40 to win as the co-fifth choice in the field. The win was his second in 10 seasonal starts and 17th lifetime.
